    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Professional Photographers of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    casual work place
    creative environment
    good cause
lots and good benefits... especially for a small organization

    Cons

Flat organization... with an increasing young staff who wants to be promoted real fast... which is not possible when the org chart is this flat, so churn is a con.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Professional Photographers of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Relaxed , half day Fridays in the summer, company events, Marta accessible, monthly gym reimbursement

    Cons

Low pay, no room for growth, only senior staff matters, high deductible for insurance, lack of diversity in management, favoritism, cannot exceed expectations (only meet)

    Advice to Management

Stop rewarding senior staff with outrageous salaries and take care of the lower level people who do majority of the work. Pay people what they're worth. Don't be hypocrites as it relates to your "no gossip" policy and 51-49 rule...51 percent personality, 49 percent skills. Stop trying to convince people that the company is so great and doing so much for their employees. People read the reviews. Since it is a nonprofit, tax records are public information. The CEO makes over 200 percent more annually than his executives. Most salaries are between 30-40K, which the CEO makes more in one month. It is similar to a pyramid scheme where all of the money is at the top and people at the lower end are just constantly moving, underpaid peasants.
