    Pros

great product, great rating, CEO has the ability to lead, IT group is super helpful, unlimited PTO, growing, stable,

    Cons

    old habits
    old mindset
wrong leaders in place, entitlment mentality, mediocre development team, mediocre sales team,

    Advice to Management

PFPT has become stagnant, Gary Steele is a great leader but its the ones under him that need to go. Overall thinking of employees are they are all entitled, most are mediocre at best and limping on one leg. They have got to get out or be rolled out and start with new thinking or they will be stagnant. None of the old timers there have new or good ideas, it is a culture of i know it but really, dont know nothing...

I worked at Proofpoint as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

I was consulting to the firm in 2003 and 2004. I liked the people and their straightforwardness, and the technology was innovative. Generally it felt like a good place to be, and I suspect this stemmed from the personality of the founder, Eric Hahn. I particularly liked working with Andres Kohn, who at that time was in charge of product marketing.

    Cons

Payment was half in cash, half in stock options. PP has been unresponsive to my attempts to exercise the options, which has surprised and disappointed me.
