sales manager is a liar and a narcissist. loves to hear himself talk .often rambling about BS and has nothing actually valuable to offer a sales leader. unprofessional environment that everyone on the team hates. terrible culture that starts from the top. Go into the crm & you'll see 2983 ex sales members because it's a revolving door.

Pros

• We are given all necessary tools to succeed as far as CRM systems and prospecting tools • Investment in growing sales and marketing teams • Favorable commission structure where you should be able to reach quota every month if you're willing to put in the work • Management keeps a very open mind and open ears, always open to new ideas and they take action if you bring something up from the top to the bottom of the org • All employees I've worked with are very nice people and just fun to work with • Lots of freedom as far as how you want to plan out your day and choose your own path for success • Highly recommend the role for any ambitious sales professionals looking to get into a high growth tech startup

Cons

Can't really think of any cons since I've been here, only thing that comes to mind is that I have seen a decent amount of people come and go since I've been here, but I wouldn't consider that I con as I think that is extremely normal for a rapidly growing startup such as Proper.

Pros

Remote work in today’s world is truly wonderful. Team collaboration is strong, and everyone is kind and open with one another. Working for a company that delivers a quality service also makes day-to-day tasks more manageable. Work-life balance is very good. Sometimes the company grows in fast spurts and can get busy, but usually they will rebalance workloads and adjust accordingly. As a start-up, adaptability is key you need to be comfortable with change. However, most changes are positive and driven by the customer experience, so it feels like you’re genuinely moving the needle in the right direction.

Cons

Job Growth: For someone in my position (CSM), there isn’t much room for growth or advancement at the moment within the company. However, if you’re an accountant, there are plenty of opportunities to move up. Time Zone: We support clients across all U.S. time zones. I’m based in EST, but some of my clients are on the West Coast, and a few are in Hawaii. Occasionally, when those clients request afternoon meetings in their time zone, it ends up being after hours for me. That said, I don’t really consider it a con—it’s just part of the nature of working with a national client base and does not happen that frequently. I wish I could give the company 4.5 stars because the only real con right now is limited growth within the company. However, at the time of this review I am very happy in my role and as the company continues to grow I am sure there will be more roles added.
