I worked at Protiviti full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Pretty reasonable pay for the industry. The people and culture are what makes the company. Everyone is fairly young and very reasonable in terms of providing work load, etc. Unlike the Big 4 and/or other large employers, you can move up as quickly as you'd like if you work hard enough.

Cons

Prepare to travel nearly all of the time. Very little formal training, employees are often expected to perform in their job function with little to no guidance. Nature of most projects can be very dry.

Advice to Management

Develop more employee incentive travel plans, and training programs.

I have been working at Protiviti full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people are genuinely nice and pleasant to work with, and their offices are professional. Overall, the people are the best part about the organization.

    Cons

The company is heavily process-oriented, and may not cater to those who have a thriving entrepreneurial spirit. In retrospect, it just wasn't the right fit.

    Advice to Management

Consider the transformation to a technology-driven company and streamline your labor-intensive processes by leveraging new tehcnologies.

    I worked at Protiviti full-time

    Pros

work/life balance, work culture (very young and fun), training (one of the best training programs), mentor program, opportunity for a lot of responsibility on projects, professional growth

    Cons

management visibility (open door policy, but you have to seek them out), type of work (audit can get somewhat tedious and boring)

    Advice to Management

Try to interact with co-workers of all levels both in and outside of work. Also, be more aggressive on the types of projects to get (seems to be heavily audit-focused)
