I have been working at PruittHealth full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Really no micro-management, sort of a blessing and a curse. No one seems to know what anyone else is doing at all. But allows you freedom to manage your own schedule. Can listen to music at my desk. Good benefits package.

Cons

No hope for advancement, company is completely against any innovation in work processes or technology. No raises, no bonuses, no promotions available.

Advice to Management

Learn how to recognize which employees are fit for their job and which aren't, and replace the latter with the former. With no raises/bonuses/promotions and no one getting fired, there's very little (if any) motivation for employees to do any of their work in a timely or effective manner.

I have been working at PruittHealth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice co-workers, good place to start if you have not done CM.

    Cons

They are not familiar with true CM. Too much work for just 2-4 nurses. (Over 40+ facilities). High turn over. Poor morale.

    Advice to Management

Implement a process that put nurses in charge of case management.

I worked at PruittHealth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have plenty of free parking, the grounds are immaculate and the building is clean. The food is inexpensive, but tastes bland, like nursing home food.

    Cons

How much time do you have? While senior management are generally competent and pleasant, upper management are greedy, hypocritical, close-minded, penny wise and dollar foolish and they run the place like a fraternity (as a matter of fact, if you have a Masters from GA State, you're as good as hired.)

    Advice to Management

Forget about micro-management, which comes from your deep-seated insecurity. Hire somebody who knows what they are doing and let them. They hire plenty of competent people, who quickly leave when they discover the truth. And turn non-profit. Everyone KNOWS non-profits invest in their people and patients, not try to get rich on their backs.
