Pros

PHMC is a great place to work for its benefits. It also provides an excellent work/life balance.

Cons

The pay is terrible, and there is very little room for career advancement. You only receives $500 for tuition reimbursement vs. other companies where they pay for your education.

Advice to Management

There should be more opportunity for career advancement, and tuition reimbursement should be increased.

I have been working at Public Health Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great facilities at headquarters, lots of unique networking/learning if you have time, some really great colleagues, schedule flexibility, benefits

    Cons

highly mismanaged the higher you get, highly questionable practices, poor pay for most employees while senior level staff/chiefs make more than most nonprofits and get major bonuses, favoritism, work you to the bone, little employee voice, training for managers is focused on company culture not best practices in management
