Pros
- fruits two times a week - helpful colleagues
Cons
First off, I called this place a joke because: The job is to collect money on behalf of marketing agencies whose clients are reputable businesses. By reputable I mean blue chip companies. Agencies, for the most part, won't share end customer contact details with you so you have to figure out how to get hold of responsible people (for whom you don't know who they are) on your own to be able to collect payments. This is prerequisite for any collection role, to have up-to-date customer/responsible person contact details, for your job is to deliver and discuss confidential and very sensitive information. Oftentimes, agencies specifically insist that you shouldn't make direct contact with end client, yet you are held responsible to collect the end client debt. Furthermore, I didn't have a single day of training and things were up to me to figure them out on my own. Other colleagues came in handy in such situations. Managers have no sense of responsibility in that regard. Whenever I asked my line manager for the assistance of any kind she would either send me to ask a colleague or point me to an online, very messy and outdated repository of docs with instructions. All bad results were blamed on us. If you try to object, pointing out that you didn't get trained you get fired immediately. Which happened to one of my colleagues after 2 months of employment. My manager was an ignorant, incompetent, lazy and extremely unprofessional/rude individual. She could not listen yet she was very vocal in her critics. You have new employees leaving the place anywhere from within 1 day to few weeks of employment. Not only this place is a major waste of time, they will make you feel like crap as well. No benefits during probation period (6 months)
