    I have been working at Publishers Clearing House full-time

    Pros

    Great family atmosphere and good benefits. Strong company, competitive salary.
    Very talented people.

    Cons

    The company is hiring a lot of interns, down the road you'll find that one of those interns will be supervising your job.

    You'll also find that some managers have outdated skills, therefore, they will hold their position forever and you will not have any room to grow.

    Some managers play favorites, and those favorites are the ones who get all the promotions and cool projects, while you may be stuck doing the same things over and over again.

    Advice to Management

    Give people the chance to work on a variety of projects.

    I worked at Publishers Clearing House full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * Great benefits
    * Wonderful people
    * Excellent work/life balance
    * Flexible hours

    Cons

    * Minimal (if at all) upward mobility
    * Management has lost the ability to think and act
    * Meetings, meetings, and more meetings
    * Misallocated resources
    * Unwilling to take risks or adapt
    * Unrealistic fiscal expectations

    Advice to Management

    Your core audience is dying. Literally. Pouring on more of then same emails/ads/tv promos is not going to magically garner in the younger crowd.

    Allow people to champion ideas from below and pitch them to senior management. The financial outlook will be sunnier (and less fictional).
