Pros

Good salary as a new starter.

Cons

Head of HR has a complete disregard for employees, says no Pure employee should expect bonuses for doing their job. In the interview process the interviewers state that bonuses are always fully paid, this is not true, new convoluted goal setting systems designed to keep bonuses & pay rise to the bare minimum. This company is no longer interested in looking after employees. Company will no longer pay for real training and offers "in-house training" which translates to no real world accreditation. Employee benefit schemes being cut due to being "admin heavy", but in reality cut due to cost cutting. In summary it is worth working here if you negotiate a very good salary but do not include bonuses, future pay rises or career progression in your decision to work here. Long hours and high stress, so ensure starting salary is as high as possible.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. We’re disappointed to read your comments. We’re really sorry to hear that you feel that way about our bonus scheme. At the launch of our new online performance review process, we talked about the importance of linking individual goals with our strategy and we also discussed how bonuses are discretionary and are based on company and individual performance. This is consistent with how our competitors and other organisations implement their bonus schemes. We also conduct annual benchmarking activities to ensure that our total compensation packages are competitive. We have recently centralised our training budget to ensure that we have parity in the way that people receive support with their development. We pride ourselves on a mixture of internal and external programmes, with a focus being on 70% on the job training (as we know that’s where the greatest learning takes place). We have changed our annual performance review process to ensure the mid-year review has a ‘deep dive’ on personal development and career conversations. Please do take this opportunity to discuss development you need with your Line Manager. Your feedback is important so feel free to reach out to us at PureComms@puredc.global if you’d like to share more detail so that we can take a deeper look at any of the issues you raise. We’re also running our employee engagement survey at the moment, which gives you a chance to anonymously provide feedback, with an opportunity to provide more detail via the free text questions - so if you’d rather not reach out via email then please do share more with us via the survey before it closes on 24th May 2024.

Pros

I’m excited to share that I’ve recently joined Pure Data Centre Group. Coming from outside the data centre industry, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but I’ve been welcomed with open arms. The People Team and the wider business are in a high-growth phase, evolving from a start-up mindset to a scale-up operation. There are solid foundations in place, but what really stands out is the openness to adapt, evolve, and improve processes as the business grows. The onboarding experience has been second to none. From day one, people have taken the time not only to understand my background but to truly partner with me. It’s refreshing to be part of a company that values collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Looking forward to the journey ahead!
