I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

I came to PwC Advisory by way of an acquisition. Since joining the firm, I have been impressed with the quality of talent, especially at the more senior levels. The firm truly has industry leading experts working on the most interesting, most difficult projects at the best clients.

Cons

The internal policies at PwC are standard across the firm, and are heavily skewed towards the audit practice (as they are the vast majority of employees). This makes some of these policies irrelevant to the advisory / consulting practice, and frustrating to be required to adhere to. In addition, PwC's internal technology (laptops, software, etc.) is outdated and not as conducive to productivity as the technology available at some consulting competitors.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

PwC offers vast resources and experiences. The compensation is probably the highest of the Big 4, and seems to be a continued area of focus. Flexibility is the new buzz word.

    Cons

Compensation is lower than industry. Review process is highly subjective, regardless of the "transparency". Often difficult to utilize opportunities available.

I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The firm invests heavily in its people, provides staff with opportunities to take on additional responsibility, and is a great place to work with your immediate peers.

    Cons

The culture is still "old school" in that it espouses mobility and flexible work arrangements but it can be hard to sell the partners on idea as a long-term option.

    Advice to Management

Make pay competitive with industry to slow attrition.
