I have been working at PwC full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Really smart, competent people that challenges you. Good training, great place to start your career. You get exposure to challenging transactions and can learn a lot. They are trying to change the way they evaluate people, but this will be the first year and I'm not sure how effective it will be.

Cons

Long hours! Despite their efforts to make this the best place to work, the efforts are not consistent. Career development is not their priority, unless you are one of the "chosen" ones - you need a mentor or you won't get anywhere. Also, they care more about the people that started since the beginning in NY than people transferring from other offices.

Advice to Management

Care more about people's career progression and don't throw them to clients just to fill the immediate needs.

I worked at PwC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Very professional firm
    - A lot of learning opportunities
    - The firm is flexible towards your personal obligations
    - Business focused and result oriented

    Cons

    - You have to find your own way to get hired internally, seems you got the offer from the firm only to be interviewing and trying to get hired again
    - Some people are very aggressive here
    - The firm is market demand driven, so there's a huge fluctuation of work loads
    - Most projects are boring and tedious, get prepared for that. Consulting here is not fancy at all.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time with new hires.
