I worked at Pyramid Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free parking if you get there early.

    Cons

Rapid turnover in staffing. Within six months 8 of 12 counselors positions changed, 6 due to staff quitting and two terminations. Supervisor talks about staff members to other staff members creating a hostile environment. Those staff that fall for this ruse that they are somehow special then become informants for anything said by fellow employees. Too much time working uncompensated due to being on a salary. Some staff have 1.5x as much work as other staff. Director has lost all humility and has focus on the company bottom line as it is a for profit agency. The position has gone completely to her head. Upper management paid for an anonymous survey but completed ignored the results. His personal way of reaching out to staff was to ask in staff meeting, in front of Director and supervisor, how each of us were doing. Not a tactic that supports open dialogue.

    Advice to Management

Examine staff turnover. Attempt to complete exit interviews. Supervise your clinical supervisors and site Directors. Care more about the program then how it is doing financially.

I worked at Pyramid Healthcare as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Salary was good and flexible with time off

    Cons

Some departments managers are better than others, however all of them really don't care about being fair. Management constantly changes their policy or procedures in ways THEY want it done. Upper management will not bother to resolve any problems in a department and close their eyes to supervisors who are unrealistic in productivity. Upper management also ignore how a supervisor treats or speaks to their employees. They close their eyes to patterns of people always quitting in a department too. Basically, they let you go for what they believe a supervisor tells them, not speaking to the person they are letting go. Very unfair to employees.

    Advice to Management

Don't always feel you have to listen to what a supervisor tells you. Anyone can make anyone look incompetent if they want to. Anyone is capable of lying....including supervisors.
