    Cons

    1. Benefits are terrible and are getting worse every year 2. Very unprofessional personal 3. Dealing with Finance team or submitting any expenses always ends up in a terrible experience. 4. Resource allocation is poor, you end up working on multiple projects at the same time with a deadline for yesterday. 5. Lack of communication and transparency between teams 6. Terrible, worst internal management system, you will have to manage more than 5 systems at the same time to log track or report time.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your candid feedback. The experience of our team members is very important to us and we are continually working to develop new initiatives for a better work environment. This includes providing benefits such as annual allowance for self directed learning, paid volunteer and professional development days, office allowance, online expense tracking, paid leaves for the care of children, partners, and parents, additional parental and maternity leave along with monthly internal events to bring the teams together. We agree with you that it is important for employees to be able to communicate and collaborate well with each other, especially with a dispersed global team like ours. That’s why we have tools like Slack, Google Hangouts for video calls and screen sharing, Google Drive, and offices equipped with plenty of meeting rooms and tv screens for video and conference calls. We are also working towards getting new tools up and running to help us be more efficient and productive in our daily activities. Regarding your comment on our resource management, leadership is difficult at the best of times and our leadership team is made up of experienced professionals committed to building and investing in our people to exceed customers expectations. As we all know, market changes happen quickly and we work to adjust to our client needs and this does at time cause friction points for our employees that we navigate through together. We do appreciate your feedback and should you have any further comments, please feel free to reach out directly to our VP of HR, Anne Graham at graham@pythian.com.

I’m glad to see that you enjoyed our SEED allowance that we provide to all employees for their continuous development. This is a popular perk amongst our team members as they can use their allowance to attend conferences, subscribe to online trainings, attend workshops and much more! With regards to time tracking, I understand that at times it can be challenging, however it is important for our clients to maintain transparency the projects we work on. I would absolutely welcome you to reach out to our Director of HR, Heather Hillier if you'd like to discuss specific concerns that you believe have not been properly heard. You can contact her directly at hillier@pythian.com.
