Pros

clear and thorough implementation of culture
character-based management involved in every part of the business
market leader - good name recognition
senior leadership very skilled and 110% committed to associates' and co success

Cons

cyclical business - has good side and bad
strong strategic focus can be viewed as impediment to change when warranted
some associates feel anxious about long term fit in parent company (WY) strategic plan

Advice to Management

keep up the loyalty demonstrated to associates
continue driving consistent and predictable principles into every corner of the organization!
err on the side of being as open as possible communicaitons - even if sensitive facts have to remain that way - start and maintain the dialogs around change to allay fears best as can do

    Pros

The people are wonderful to work with. Open collaboration between teams. A culture of innovation. Ping Pong tournaments and other fun.

    Cons

Continued improvements to homes creates re-work, so often you are redoing what you had thought was completed months before.

    Advice to Management

Continue with openly engaging employees for ideas.

I worked at Quadrant Homes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn. Most of the people are nice to work with.

    Cons

Even though it is a multimillion dollar company, don't expect a decent raise, ever. It's difficult to move out of the entry level position you're hired in to, unless you're related to someone.
