Pros

Pay and benefits were (surprisingly) in line with other positions of equal responsibility for this area. There are some truly hard-working and friendly folks there.

Cons

The company needs new management with vision and strategy. They have a bad case of "TITWWADI", or "This Is The Way We've Always Done It". QualServ relies on five or six major accounts and when those accounts do poorly, so does the company. When company performance is poor, they don't find and correct the problems; they just lay people off until business picks back up again, then hire a new batch of poor suckers and the cycle repeats.

Advice to Management

Take some leadership courses. Intimidation is not leadership. Take some courses on Lean Manufacturing and learn to make a quality product for less.

    I worked at QualServ full-time

    Pros

    Pay and benefits were fair and most employees were pleasant.

    Cons

    Outdated software (DOS driven), no formal training nor guidance therefore "sink or swim" process; daily "best-downs" by the CEO and other management personnel on a required to attend, 7:30 a.m. morning call. The front office is unclean, old/dated/industrial and the atmosphere and moral of personnel low and often belligerent. The HR dept. is highly unprofessional and does not adhere to mandated compliance guidelines leaving personal information vulnerable. Cups, eating utensils, etc. are not provided for coffee nor for drinking water. Very gloomy atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees like your team (strongly need to improve) and less like the opponent by providing them the tools, verbal encouragement, constructive direction, in a clean, professional environment which undoubtedly will better equip them to feel valued as an asset, take on pride and therefore succeed which ultimately benefits the customer and company.
