No opinion of CEO

I worked at Qualcomm as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

The work-culture at Qualcomm was great. The people I worked with were smart and very helpful. The location (San Diego) is amazing. The benefits for full-time employment are also good.

Cons

The work for my internship was a bunch of programming and testing tasks, with little flexibility in the goals.

I have been working at Qualcomm full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Company cares for its employees.
    2. Stable job.
    3. Great perks and bonuses.
    4. Smart co- workers.
    5. Opportunity to learn a lot and work with the best resources.
    6. Promotions are fair.
    7. Nice location esp if you are in San Diego.

    Cons

    1. Sometimes work can be stressful esp before important releases or if there are customer issues. But this practice is consistent across the industry.

    2. Some leads are sitting on retirement territory and are hopeless and make you hopeless.

    3. Other than this I can't think of any.

    Advice to Management

Some divisions are rather top heavy. We need more engineers than managers.
