I worked at Queen of the Valley Medical Center as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The nurses work great as team players. The staff RN are knowledgeable and helpful. After getting the charting down I enjoyed working there

    Cons

Meditech charting is a nightmare. Management floats the travelers to all areas so it's not consistent as a traveler it was hard to get oriented because you were moved everyday to new area. Wasn't organized. After I got it down I loved going to different areas. Pacu,Preop, GI,Out pt surgery. Manager was helpful to me when I had issues. She tended to take on to much responsibility that kept her from being better at her job

    Advice to Management

Allow new travelers to spend at least a week in each area before moving them around. Delegate to separate areas scheduling etc
