promotional ladder is not as fast as it used to be.

Advice to Management

Do not require employees to interview to move into the ACPM level from support level.

    Pros

    The benefits are great.
    There are growth opportunities. You are able to move to areas/departments.

    Cons

    Just like most companies, there are issues with their processes...either there is lack of processes or people do not follow them. It seems that the managers do not correct them. There is a lot of duplication in systems and departments. Based on feedback from other employees, you definitely want to receive the salary you want as soon as you hired for the position.

    Advice to Management

    I believe you should evaluate the purpose of the departments especially on the business side to see if it is needed and if they are solving the problems around your processes. Also, there are internal systems that are already performing the tasks or collecting similar data. I believe you leverage the same systems throughout all departments worldwide. Therefore, you can save a lot of money and move resources to solve other issues/problems or assign them to other tasks.

    Pros

    Interesting work. Financially stable, growing company. Decent work life balance. Contractors are treated well (except for Cons below). Opportunities to learn.

    Cons

    No compunction about advertising "contract to hire" when position is not budgeted (discovered after the fact). They will sound sincere, but there is no drive or effort to keep their promise despite positive performance feedback.

    Advice to Management

    Get your arrogance in check with respect to the timeliness of hiring talented contractors, who in good faith, come onboard expecting you keep your hiring promise.
