I have been working at R.R. Donnelley full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Co workers
Sales Rep
Flexible with work/ilfe balance

Cons

Duties are merged between positions and there's a lot of competition for getting higher position/salary but not much opportunity.

Advice to Management

Reward hard workers so they have an incentive to work harder, cut pay on those who waste their time.

I have been working at R.R. Donnelley full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexible working hours. Nice people to work with. Casual Work Attire. Opportunities to learn new technologies.

    Cons

Lack of appreciation of management to employee. Not rewarded for hard work. No real chance for advancement. An Extremely Cheap Company.

    Advice to Management

Management should consider their employee's contributions before arbitrarily putting them at the bottom of the pile. Also consider investing in your future -- your employees. As a long time RRD employee I am considering leaving along with many who have already left. The recent 1% raise was an absolute joke to all who received it. I'm sure upper management receives more than 1% on a yearly basis, and it is doubtful that it is well deserved.

    Pros

The people here are great, the atmosphere is good, and the building has all the amenities you could ask for in a downtown office building.

    Cons

Not much room for advancement. If you want to get promoted, you practically have to wait for your boss to leave or get fired. Benefits & pay are on the middle to lower end of the industry scale.

    Advice to Management

Make benefits more attractive to keep your employees. You can start by offering tuition reimbursement, more vacation days, and actually paying out bonuses.
