Pros

RATIONAL outclasses all its competitors in terms of product and service. At senior management level, there is no real time off due to the nature of the job, but this is not unique to RATIONAL. Remuneration is on par with competition, but foremost you get to work with the absolute best the industry has to offer. Excellent training programs are offered to sales staff and many competitors actually try to recruit from RATIONAL due to their excellent training.

Cons

It is a top down German management culture allowing little room for personal initiative. You either love it or hate it.

Pros

Strong Company Reputation: Rational is a well-established and respected company in the kitchen equipment industry, known for high-quality products. Working here can enhance your professional credibility. Innovative Environment: The company is known for innovation, particularly in cooking technology. This can provide opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects and learn new skills. Work-Life Balance: Employees often cite a good work-life balance, which is a common benefit in many German companies. Stability and Growth Opportunities: As a financially stable and growing company, Rational likely offers good job security and opportunities for career advancement.

Cons

Disadvantages: Conservative Culture: As is often the case in established manufacturing companies, Rational may have a conservative corporate culture, which could be less dynamic for those seeking a fast-paced, flexible work environment. Decision-Making Processes: Some employees might find the decision-making processes slow or overly bureaucratic, which can be frustrating for those who prefer agility. Pressure to Perform: With high standards and a focus on innovation, there may be significant pressure to perform, which could lead to stress.
