I have been working at RBC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Professional atmosphere, If you're willing to pay for your own marketing supplies they offer professional looking materials... You can write off your expenses, which is good...you'll have a bunch!

    Cons

No clearly defined territory pitting all the Mortgage Specialists against one another
No lines drawn in the sand as far as Realtor Market
    Credit adjudication is big brother
No budget for marketing, everything is out of pocket for the specialist
Having to pay for my own business cards? really
Branch thinking you make more money then they do.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at a mortgage Broker model when considering your comp plan.
