I have been working at RDI Marketing part-time (More than a year)

Pros

working with others are a great opportunity to to make new friends and hang out. learning different areas of customer service is great.

Cons

Make sure you do not have an emergency or anything important come up or do not touch the wrong button you will get written up or suspended. there are no raises until you are there for after a year. there are no top producer raises.

Advice to Management

having an emergency or being ill should qualify for a day off. a death should not get you written up. i understand you have a company to run but what about the employees. maybe that is why you have such a high turnover rate. listen to your employees once in a while.

    Pros

It's good to have a job.

    Cons

Management is rude and insulting. It's impossible to get a raise - unless you threaten to quit. They have bedbugs-- but if you see them, management sends you home for alarming others.

    Advice to Management

Give annual raises and get rid of the bedbugs. Stop yelling at people in the call center - we are on the phones, you know.

I have been working at RDI Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you prove that you can follow the rules and do business the RDI way, there are some advancement opportunities. Fancy job titles such as Project Manager, Account Manager, or Operations Supervisor look nice on a resume. This is a good career for someone who doesn't need to be the breadwinner for a family, someone who is beginning their career, or someone who is in between jobs. The hours are relatively flexible except during peak times of year.

    Cons

The pay is severely low and some of the customer service representative jobs can be difficult to deal with. This leads to high turnover. The management can be alarmists at times but their intentions are good overall. This is not a good career for most people, but can be a decent job for almost everyone who want to work. If you don't mind the low pay and want a relatively easy job then this may be a good fit.

    Advice to Management

The economy is tough on everyone. The starting pay has been the same for over a decade. This may help decrease turnover at least.
