    Pros

Offer a lot of training for future career growth and it is not only internal free-training but will pay for external training

    Cons

Management favoritism also there is too much of a push for PMP certification. Project Management is not your field, you should be allowed to pursue other quality certifications as a condition of employment i.e. APICS, SAP, etc

    Advice to Management

Please get out to the sites more to meet the employees - not just the site managers. Many of us were passed up on promotions because site managers had favorites and did not look at an employee's overall performance.

    Pros

Great staff who are very knowledgable about the field and one is able to learn a lot from colleagues with, pretty good program management positions, I had a good job for several years.

    Cons

Communications has always been a home office vs field staff issue. At times, the HQ people tried to establish ties with on site people, but once done a couple times, then it went back to hear what was happening at the home office through the grapevine. Also, HQ personnal think themselves above field people and always seem to get privileges above onsite staff.

Since RG has let a lot of folks go recently--the real old guard--one can hope that with new personnel that HQ will become more knowledgeable of what is happening on site and also keep people informed on a more regular basis. The corporation is dependent on the field revenue to keep everything going.

For some reason, RG is having problems in securing additional program management work at present--maybe this is cyclical because the firm did quite well for a long time. The firm does not seem to be attracting new work==with new agencies.

    Advice to Management

Utilize field staff to do home office work--when needed, instead of bringing in newly recruited folks who do not know or understand what RG does or where it is going.
