I have been working at RS Medical full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

If you have the relationships and desire, you can make good money with RS. The new direction of capital equipment and DME, is interesting and challenging. This job is about relationships. It does require setting up protocols and taking care of patients.

Cons

Bad customer service. Recently the company switched to an outside vendor and the results are poor. Also, the DME options are usually the most expensive per code and ICD9. Maximizing reimbursement. Not always the best for insurance and patients out of pocket.

Advice to Management

Improve customer service and widen the DME offerings to compete and offer alternatives at different prices.

I have been working at RS Medical full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexibility and a lot of activity.

    Cons

High pressure, and especially when you work under someone else, they tend to take the blame out of you. Also, the corporate bigwigs change things all the time without giving any advance notice.

    Advice to Management

    TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!

    Pros

    - Friendly people
    - Great for younger employees starting a career
    - Lots of availability for career advancement
    - Lots of project work

    Cons

    - Unprofessional people (seriously, wearing pajamas to work? SERIOUSLY?)
    - Incompetent management
    - Sometimes it simply seems like people are just phoning it in; employees don't seem to want to be there.

    Advice to Management

Motivate your employees -- not through fun games and seminars, but through true leadership and professionalism. Educate your employees and challenge them. Also, make them dress professionally. Casual Fridays are fine, but pajamas, Harley Davidson gear, and shirts with obscenities are not.
