Pros

Racetrac pays more than the average c-store in the industry. Believe me, they get their money's worth, but they do have a higher salary and bonus(depends on the store).

Cons

It's the blind leading the blind. They dont promote people with knowledge and ability. They promote based on politics.

Advice to Management

Quit making things political. Everything revolves around people in Orlando that doesn't really know whats going on. You overlook the people who keep the area going..."moving the needle forward".
Please quit saying that you "put people first". Thats a d@#$ lie and makes you look stupid to chant that one sec and mistreat the next.

    Pros

    Hours were set
    Company was expanding
    Pay was great- weekly paychecks and monthly bonuses
    Quick decision turn around- they didn't have you waiting in the dark as to whether or not they were going to hire you

    Cons

    All expectations were not clearly outlined
    Training program was a mess...if they had stuck to the plan it would have yielded different results
    Feedback was not always constant. You could think you are doing a great job and then it be a totally different story the next day.

    Advice to Management

    Make sure future associates have a clear understanding of all expectations. This would help reduce the turnover.

    Flexible schedule and location

    Cons

    Promotions based on who likes you, not job performance. Managment talks down to employees. Positions are not posted within company. You find out about new positions after somone has been promoted. They make concessions for certain people, not all employees.
