Pros

Great people to work with. Fun atmosphere. Great exposure to top execs from other industries.

Cons

Poor management. The good ole boys' club is alive and well. Major division between sales and support. It is sink or swim mentality. No on boarding and customers, co-workers, and you will suffer as you learn the ropes.

Advice to Management

Develop on on-boarding process. Train you people and reduce the attrition.

    Pros

Work on big problems and help the world build interesting technologies.

    Cons

Picking what to work on here is problem since we have 170,000 customers. Also, the focus on customer satisfaction isn't for everyone, but for those who want to make customers fanatically happy there is no better place.

    Advice to Management

Think bigger, look at how well OpenStack is doing. Now, let's go out and think even bigger and change the world again.

    Pros

The highest levels of leadership - Lanham, Lew, Graham - have vision, ethics, and balance caring for Rackers, customers, and investors.

    Cons

Some organizational ADD, restructuring too frequently, poorly designed and implemented tools for support workers. You can often be evaluated based on perceptions and feelings rather than true performance.
