I worked at RadioShack full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Decent commission (depending on location)
-Make your own schedule and hire/fire employees
-Receive a Target Discount and a RadioShack discount, as well heavily discounted rate plans for service

    Cons

    -Poor upper management
-If you are located in a slow store, it is very difficult to make commission
-Multiple conference calls throughout the week, even on your days off or before your shift that could be easily summed up in an email
-If you have a bad district manager, get ready to do a lot more work not part of your job description

    Advice to Management

You recently put a focus on streamlining and simplifying processes, yet it actually complicated most aspects of the business. Please do more research into your policies before implementing them.

I have been working at RadioShack full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company will let you make all the money that you are capable of making. There is no limit to how much you can make.

    Cons

You fight your own battle. You will work like a cow on the field. The company has very little way to help driving traffic to your store while your payroll is cut to about 80% of what it should be. As a manager, you end up working between 50 - 60 hours a week without overtime paid. You won't get a day of vacation until 3rd year anniversary. Core benefits such as medical, dental, and vision cost 1/3 of your paycheck for you and your spouse.

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep the best employees, you have to treat them like ones. By that, I mean understand what your employees' basic needs are. Having a core benefits that cost them 1/3 of their salary is not telling them that you care. It is telling them that you don't care about their and their families' well being.
