I worked at RadioShack full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

For employees, most stores are atmospheres to expand on selling capabilities and customer relationship building practices.

Cons

Store Managers are required to work too many hours; 48 a week, but more often than not, end up working an average of 52 hours, leaving little time for a home or family life.

Company is downsizing leaving a lot of people out of work

The training program leaves employees unprepared

Overwhelming pressure to meet unrealistic sales quotas with implicit threat of job loss that

Pushy sales tactics to sell "insurance" on almost all products that are sold in the stores, but are difficult and a nuisance to collect on if the need arises

Turnover rate is terribly high due to low pay

Advice to Management

None. I fear for the future of this company.

I worked at RadioShack part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I can't think of anything nice I have to RadioShack, besides the fact the it was enjoyable to help get the customers the products that were needed.

    Cons

Out of date products, not enough training, boss was condescending, stock room was dirty, smelly, and very unorganized. The store was also very unorganized. WAY TO CROWDED with out of obsolete products such as, VHS tape cleaner.

I worked at RadioShack full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    It was close to home

    Cons

They pushed us so hard to sell phone I mean I know its a dying company but jeez. They would even lie to the customer just to their numbers up. Especially to the customer who didn't understand english that well.

    Advice to Management

We need new management. Stop being desperate.
