No opinion of CEO

I worked at RadioShack part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

You learn (under pressure) but you learn. About phones and other sort of technologies.

Cons

Expect too much for 8 dollars. Comission is 2%. Sucks! Bossy, too much pressure.

Advice to Management

Raise your pay if you expect an associate to learn the entire store.

I have been working at RadioShack full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Excellent people
    Fun environment
Run it like its your own business
    Set your own schedule
    Commission on everything you sell
Awesome 401K. Dollar for Dollar match.

    Cons

    Company is not performing well.
Possibility of going out of business.
Not a whole lot of room for growth
    Pay is very mediocre

    Advice to Management

Increase your pay so you can retain the best employees. Manager's will tend to leave knowing they can make double what you are paying at your competitor's locations. Market your cell phone line up. I can't recall a commercial that specifically describes what brands of phones and wireless carriers that we carry ever being advertised. You want to sell phones, then let the world know what you have to offer.
