I have been working at Rapid7 full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Great products with name brand recognition in the cyber security industry. Rapid7 is on a great growth trajectory - Terrific office spaces globally - Good career progression when starting out as a business development rep. There's a defined path for promotion, they generally promote from within and many managers are former SDRs/BDRs - Employees are generally cared about, it's not a churn and burn type environment

    Cons

    - Sales can feel very cliquey. Those that have been there a long time versus those that are new. Tenured folks not as willing to share institutional knowledge to new outside hires - Mid-level management: A lot of first time managers, who dress the part and act like software sales managers, but don't know how to actually lead, coach and motivate. Micro-managing, excessive meetings, and poking holes into reps and deals without offering solutions or working together so everyone can succeed - Unbalanced territories/quotas - No territory or quota is equal in any company, but you can be at a major major disadvantage depending on what product you're selling, which patch you have and what your customer book is.
