Pros

Great people, great culture, great benefits

Cons

Minimum to average pay. The firm overall has a diverse portfolio but not so much with each individual studio.

Pros

Ratio Interactive is a digital agency, and is rife with opportunities for any developer who seeks a broad skill set and the chance to work on fun, challenging projects. Ratio actively looks for, and has the ability to pick and choose compelling engagements from some of the biggest companies around the world. I had the chance to work on probably a dozen projects with a variety of technologies including .Net, PHP, HTML/CSS, mobile web, and iOS, and my current career opportunities have exploded as a result. The employees aren't just "hipsters" and "frat boys" as another reviewer quipped. Sure, there's some hipsters, and there's some guys who were probably in a frat. But there's a good share of non-"hip" employees (I know, I was one of them), and moms and dads, and people who probably haven't seen the inside of a gym in ten years, too. Not sure why any of that matters, but regardless of their trendiness or social tendencies, the large majority of people I worked with at Ratio are intelligent, funny, creative, and worthwhile human beings. I still keep in touch with a lot of them.

Cons

Ratio is an intense environment, and thus is not for the faint of heart. That's probably a con if you're looking for something more laid back or are juggling a lot of other things in your life. Hot Pockets.
