I have been working at Raytheon full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Good work/life balance. Not often that we have to work obscene hours. Overtime pay sometimes available.

Cons

Sometimes you have to do work that's not interesting to you because it's all that's available at the time.

    Pros

Engineering discipline, good salary and benefits, worldwide opportunities, education assistance, opportunities to work many contracts, work life balance, broad exposure to systems development lifecycle

    Cons

Business development approach, leadership development program, misuse of engineering talent, consolidation of work sites, top down management, have to move to move up

    Advice to Management

Streamline for efficiencies, not for the sake of R6s.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Raytheon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many, many different career paths. Can do well if you contribute and help with the success of programs.

    Cons

As with most big companies, can be lots of process and bureaucracy. Can be at risk of being pigeon holed if you don't speak up.

    Advice to Management

Open communication works well, share with the team and let them know how their contributions help programs succeed.
