I worked at Raytheon full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

They used to have a profit sharing program but, like so many other companies, they are phasing it out for reasons that make sense to the management but nobody else.

Cons

They have terrific benefits but, again, they are dumping them in favor of supposed higher profits. Thanks, Guys!

Advice to Management

I would really like to be a part of your team but you neither want to acknowledge my existence nor appreciate the years of service in anything more than a trivial way. No golden parachute here, folks.

Depending on project, can be very leading edge technically.
Very ethical. People friendly. Diversity stressed.

    Cons

Defense work mostly, great for those who like high tech but basically marketing limited to government customers.
No frills, don't look for company parties, free coffee, etc.
    No public transportation.

I have been working at Raytheon full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits with medical, 401k matching up to 4%, and great education and training available. Flexible work arrangements are available as well.

    Cons

Government contracts, which is currently in a down-cycle. Some programs are short staffed leading to overworked employees
