I worked at Raytheon full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Large, worldwide company with diverse technologies and applications. The technology is cutting edge and Raytheon is an industry leader.

    Cons

The culture is behind the time. Many of the long time employees don't put much stock into ideas from new employees. Over abundance of policy's that sometimes slows the growth process.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like people and not a number.

    Pros

If you want to gain experience in Government contracting this is the place.

    Cons

Nepotism and good ole boy network. Unqualified people advance in their careers based on relationships not performance.

    Advice to Management

Take a serious approach to improving morale.
