I worked at Raytheon full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Pay, hours, sense of pride in serving the country without being in the military. Most hourly positions are bargaining unit, so the quality of life is always negotiable.

Cons

Management is always on a revolving door. Some inexperience and incompetence in management.

I have been working at Raytheon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The Paid Time Office policy advances the entire year's vacation on Jan. 1 allowing you to take longer vacations during the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, you can only rollover 40 hours. Being able to work a 9x80 schedule is the best benefit. Some very bright employees.

    Cons

I have not seen a single process improvement project that improved the process. Some groups allow managers to be extremely disrespectful of others. I have seen some hostile work groups. Raises are on the lowest I have ever received.

    Advice to Management

You need to look at how to motivate instead of demotivating employees. Micromanagement does not work. Management should be hold managers to the company values.
