I worked at Raytheon full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Excellent benefits, vacation time, etc. We worked a 9/80 schedule which made every other weekend a three day weekend. Holidays were "saved" for the Xmas season, allowing extended Xmas vacation.

Cons

At Raytheon we had functional managers who typically did not assign work. The result was that our manager often had no direct knowledge of our work. Further, when managing others, those who performed poorly would often not name you as a manager, thereby attempting to obtain a better review.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Raytheon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It is a job. The Pto is the best vacation around.

    Cons

The pay is not good for the assemblers. There is a yearly raise based off a system that is not proficient. If you are going for a salary position, then you will be treated better. Assemblers rarely get the chance to move up ranks. The company rather hire outside the company rather than inside the company.

    Advice to Management

If the assemblers did not get the products out, the company will not prosper. Assen
Milers should get treated with respect and dignity. I

    Pros

They teach you how to do your job. They do not overwork you (and if they do, they compensate).

    Cons

A bit sluggish pace. Feels like government sometimes.

    Advice to Management

You need to get into commercial business faster.
