Pros

Advice to Management

I worked at Razorfish as an intern

    Pros

wonderful place to work with really intelligent and helpful coworkers. The internship program over the summer was so worthwhile. I learned so much and everyone is welcoming and always willing to help.

    Cons

I wish they provided a little training in the beginning because it took some time to catch up to the big projects they were working on. But no cons other than that.

    Advice to Management

    None. Great management.

I have been working at Razorfish full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Rosetta (now called Sapient Razorfish) has a great culture and a lot of laid back, hard-working people. The office in SLO is beautiful and comes with lots of amenities like a basketball court, tons of free snacks and drinks (including beer and cold brew coffee on tap).

    Cons

The biggest cons have arisen in the last few months. Rosetta was merged with a bigger company (Razorfish), which was then merged with another, bigger company 3 months later (thus the ridiculous name: Sapient Razorfish). SLO went from having our CEO in the office with us to having almost every person at a director level or above laid off or quit within the last 6 months. Now SLO is a tiny footnote on a giant faceless corporation and it feels like nobody even knows we're here. People are quitting left and right and nobody has been replaced.

At Rosetta in general, the biggest con is the feast-or-famine workload. Since everything is project based, you can have long stretches of nothing to do, bookended by stretches of working too many long nights to meet a deadline. This pattern is seen as "how it is" and I get no sense that account managers ever try to mitigate it.

    Advice to Management

It feels like the SLO office is headed for closure. If that's not the case, tell us!
