I have been working at Razorfish full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great people, lack of ad ego, multi-disciplinary, great work life balance (depending on account), focus on client success - not awards, great office space and solid culture although it's had to retain that at scale.

Cons

Weak leadership, weak account folks (but vastly improved), too Project Management driven, lack of processes, lack of exciting brands (but that's Chicago) and way way way too much concern with finances.

Advice to Management

Management needs to focus on vision rather than immediate financial drivers.

I worked at Razorfish full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Really nice people, mostly in their 20s and 30s. Nice, trendy environment with lots of creativity in some disciplines.

    Cons

Obsessed only with meeting % profit margin goals. While aspiring to build some serious technology systems, they lack the vision and financial commitment to do what it takes to execute. Chasing after the next client and pushing everyone to do whatever it takes to meet unrealistic deadlines is the norm. Not a place for serious technology professionals.

    Advice to Management

You're a professional services company. Don't try to be an engineering company. You don't have what it takes.

    Pros

Smart people - great clients - cool projects.

    Cons

Poor management - competing focus by Presidents - utilization/billability goals are too high.
