I have been working at RecoverCare full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

individual staff members are positive, helpful and courteous.

Cons

increasing healthcare and benefit reductions, no cost-of-living or other pay raises.

Advice to Management

The key to great management is giving people personal responsibility. Give as many freedoms as possible and have very few rules, very highly enforced.

    Pros

    If you are a direct-hire there is a chance you can move on up.
    Loved the management there until a new person was brought in to screw everything up really fast.

    Cons

    Even if you demonstrated and provided huge value to the company over the years there is no guarantee or there is a very low chance that you will be retained.

    Advice to Management

    I would advise the senior management to really think out and implement processes for doing all of the repetitive tasks that you are hit with. It felt like the company is really struggling to get a handle on things that seemed really overwhelming.

    Pros

    Potential to help sick and debilitated people heal.

    Cons

    Regional management overworks operations employees and forces them to risk injury and cut corners to service customers. Work load simply dumped on technicians. Little incentive or reward for performing above and beyond which, in the medical services industry, often includes working long hours, extreme physical demands and in less than ideal circumstances.

    Advice to Management

    Upper management needs to talk to front line employees directly to get true picture of what is going on at the branch level. Regional and branch managers tell uppers what they want to hear and give their subordinates little support. The attitude seems to be "take the abuse or leave".
