No opinion of CEO

Pros

Branding and reputation. Leading edge in the business of technology arena. Contacts and networking potential. Deal making. Great insight into C-level executive world. Great experience as a formative step in the industry.

Cons

Mostly in a reactive mode as a company. Not harnessing well the huge potential it could have as a business model. Slightly old or out of date managerial structure. Not much potential in terms of personal career growth. Not adding extra value, neither on a personal nor a professional level, to retain best employees.

Advice to Management

Improve information sharing and learn how to better delegate task across all levels from top to bottom. Adopt a more dynamic way of coping with market changes.

    Pros

Annual travel to Amsterdam, Hong Kong, LA was a perk. Get exposed to many innovative companies and their technologies. Build great contacts.

    Cons

Leadership terribly ineffective and ranges on the socieopathic. Pay usually late, sometimes by months. Leadership does not listen to employee feedback. Company culture not supportive.

    Advice to Management

Listen to feedback. Be open about employee approaches to solving challenges. Be more realistic about deadlines and listen to employee suggestions about how to get them done.

I worked at Red Herring full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Learned that prison wasn't all that bad, I could still be working at Red Herring. Every job after has been amazing, even the worst experiences.

    Cons

Everything - unable to pay employees, unable to pay vendors, unable to pay insurance or taxes. Weekend work, the worst work culture I have ever experienced. Going home at 5pm is a firing offence. The worst work / life balance I ever experienced. Values are a joke, this is as corrupt a company you will find.

    Advice to Management

Close up shop, stop conning people. Look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, do you enjoy frauding people every day? There are drug dealers with more morals.
