I worked at Red Lobster full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Company was fair cared about its people and the salaries were usually fair for the positions

    Cons

I would still be there except new SVP was so degrading of managers and staff
Especially women that I did not want to be a part of that.
He tried it with me and I stood up for myself so he backed off. Heard him say that he did not want to hire anyone over 50

    Advice to Management

Look closely at your people in positions of power because this company deserves the best of the best

    Pros

Pay can be good, especially around holidays, upwards for $600 for 30 hours a week wasn't bad at all.
Corporate management doesn't allow servers to take more than 4 tables, so it is a pretty stress-free environment

    Cons

Pay can be volatile (not everyone knows how to tip)
Shifts can ware on you, 10 hours a day on your feet is the norm.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job screening employees, listen more to employees concerns regarding scheduling, have seen a lot of turnover as a result of scheduling disputes.
