Great place to start your career

    Pros

Amazing place to start your career. You have the autonomy to own projects at a very young place in your career, which creates a working environment that requires you to act like an owner, take risks, and work closely with your team to drive growth for the brand/team you are on. The people are what make RV such an amazing place to work. Throughout the pandemic, RV Leadership Team has done an amazing job of creating a flexible working environment for everyone. They have focused on diversity, inclusion & supporting their employees during the pandemic with new perks to support mental health (1 day off a month, Lyra counseling).

    Cons

Your success is dependent not only on your work ethic but how much your manager & senior leaders will advocate for you to get raise/promotion. As the company has scaled, they have lost the intentionality of manager/talent placements, which is so crucial to ensuring the success and growth of employees. The majority of senior leaders at RV are amazing, however, there are others who are completely detached from how the teams function & only care about if the team is on par with performance. There are senior leaders who commend you for speaking up when things aren’t right, and others who will reprimand you for speaking up (retaliatory). If this issue is not addressed, it will continue to create a toxic work culture for the teams with particular senior leaders. HR is not always a safe space to share issues.
