Pros

Great place to work. The pay is very competitive and the culture has lots of autonomy. It is a very paced environment but I find that very challenging. Firm is experiencing rapid growth that is very exciting as well. Lots of fun firm team building events.

Cons

Long hours for associates, but better than many other law firms. Place more emphasis on support functions (Accounting, IT, HR) and the value that they add to the organization.

Advice to Management

Better communication.

    Pros

Excellent organisation (services and resources); high-end clients and novel business.

    Cons

Very large firm. Progress (as in many law firms) depends on many factors (some subjective).

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Reed Smith full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Attorneys were good fun, respectful and worked on interesting cases. Lovely building and location

    Cons

Countless complaints about unfair and unreasonable treatment by support staff management fall on deaf ears. A put up or shut up or else culture.

    Advice to Management

Its easy to sit back and let support staff management do the uncomfortable jobs but don't leave them unchecked
