Pros

Easy going laid back work place. Do your job and they leave you alone. They respect and appriciate you.Realistic job expectations.

Cons

Work start times vary widely and you never really have a set schedule but that is the nature of the lot sweeping buisiness.

Advice to Management

About the only downside is two of our sweeper trucks are really old. However new trucks are very expensive and Mr. Reed does the best he can to maintain them. I know of at least 30,000 dollars were spent on truck repairs this year

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Reed & Reed full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The summer months are busy with projects. Company has erected 90% of the wind towers in New England, so if you want to work on a wind project, then this is the company to work for. Overtime hours are available. Foreman are experienced and knowledgeable regarding their specific task(s).

    Cons

The amount of overtime varies drastically depending on the crew you are placed on. The members on your crew can make or break the experience you have working for the company.

    Advice to Management

Periodic internal review of crews to see how they are performing could increase efficiency and effectiveness. Not just talking the the foreman, but to the crew members individually to gauge how the job site activities are going.
