Pros

It is a good place to learn standard bank operating procedures and government standards for banking. It is a good place to learn cash handling and basic teller functionality. It is a large bank, but still has the feel of a small community bank.

Cons

It is very difficult to transfer or to advance from your current position. Current bank fees are high and customer dissatisfaction is becoming greater as fees increase, making it even harder to reach sales quotas.

Advice to Management

Allowing more room for advancement and growth would help teller become more focused on improving customer service and satisfaction. Also, robotic greetings and thank you's (when required at all times with each and every customer) make it difficult to be genuine and helpful in determining customer needs and making sales happen.

Current Employee - Business Banker in Memphis, TN
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Local management and work atmosphere; decent bonuses if you are able to exceed your goals; flexible work schedule as long as meeting goals

    Cons

Corporate executives seem to have a lack of concern for their employees. Seem to be very focused on making money for themselves while cutting out perks and cutting bonuses for staff that actually produces businesses. Lack of communication on where the company it going.

    Advice to Management

Strive to be more in tune with what actually gets results. Decrease reporting and meeting to allow staff to focus on business development. Determine what information is absolutely crucial and the most efficient way to obtain this information. Request the input of employees who will be the end users of new procedures and initiatives to determine anticipated results.
