Pros

A paycheck. That's about it. Good coworkers. Getting out of the house every day. Even entertainment in the office. But that's it.

Cons

Had the worse c-level and senior director management I have ever seen in 20 years. Company was always changing course.

Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees. They are what makes things happen. Stop trying to act you are running the CIA and doing everything in a vacuum.

    Pros

Good group of folks, very challenging problems to be solved, and remarkably flexible with their technical staff in terms of work environment.

    Cons

Business model is outdated. Regulus was once a leader in providing print and remittance outsourcing, but paper statements and paper checks are a declining market. No serious domestic focus is given to transitioning to a new business model, since the company was bought from an overseas conglomerate. The company is in serious trouble of being gutted and the non intellectual property assets sold for pennies on the dollar.

    Advice to Management

Don't be so reactive, listen less to your sales force and more to your technologists. Sure, one side brings revenue to the table, but the other brings the product to the table, and the two must be on equal footing. You may be limited in your ability to effect change with the 3i acquisition of Regulus, but that doesn't mean that lasting and useful change can't be implemented that helps save the company.
