I have been working at RehabCare full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great co workers and schedule flexibility

Cons

I get patients "dumped" on me. All the patients that everyone else doesn't want, I get because of seniority. No recognition given to anyone who goes over, above and beyond their job description.

Advice to Management

Say thank you when appropriate, it goes a long way

I worked at RehabCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large company can offer different salaries dependent on experience and need.

    Cons

The over worked therapists were very unhappy. Frequently the caseload FAR exceeded plausible 8 hour day. Though mandatory lunch breaks were discussed, therapist spent the majority of the time trying to finish work to exit at a decent time.

    Advice to Management

All therapist are aware of the need to watch the bottom line as we were educated to do so. Medicare continues to squeeze both companies and beneficiaries. Please consider treating the employees ethically from the recruiting to the daily communication. Selling to the client all you can produce for them while whipping your employees to death isn't the way to beat the competition.

    Pros

flexible, lots of hands on experience

    Cons

    inappropriate RUGs, money driven company.

    Advice to Management

I started here as a new grad, but since there is a raise freeze i am stuck with a new grad salary with no hopes of getting a raise. i am a well-regarded professional in my area and it is extremely annoying to have a train other SLPs with no medical experience but they are making up to 5-9$/hr more than me. higher ups really need to reevaluate the raise freeze because the only way i can get a raise is by leaving and moving to another company.
