Pros

Pluses include your co-workers, the flexibility in your work hours, mostly good managers. The ability to transition from department if you are inclined. This is a small company (<150) so you are limited in movement.

Cons

The senior management is falling behind the competition which can make outside-facing roles increasingly challenging (e.g. sales). Overall management can be myopic with some exceptions. This will not be a place to learn from your superiors but quite possibly from your peers.

Advice to Management

Do away with tenured senior people. If someone isn't doing there job, let them go. Either promote from within or get someone new to do the job. Look at what is really changing in your client base. This should be a wake up call for the challenges you will face ahead if you don't start acting like a public company and not a private venture (which you no longer are).

I have been working at Reis full-time

    Pros

After the first week, I knew I made the right move to join Reis. Management really cares about excelling their associates' talents.

    Cons

The company changing for the better; just keep an open mind. Rome wasn't built in a day after all. Benefits can take 60-90 days to kick in. Hopefully that changes sooner than later.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget to make personal connections. People feel motivated when they feel like their work has purpose and impact.

I have been working at Reis full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Reis Sales Certifcation is comprehensive and extremely valuable in helping me learn the product offereings.

    Cons

As the organization grows it will need to raise it's maturity level with People, Process and Tools if it's to acheive it's aspirations and potential.
