Pros
- dog friendly (can have cons) - free snacks and subsidized lunch (taxed)
Cons
- Lots of favouritism: They really just promote whoever sides with LT, regardless of competency and professionalism. They also don't care if those individuals actually follow the hybrid 3-day policy consistently. - Hybrid 3-day switch was a mess: Like other reviews have mentioned, the changes were very abrupt. Not everyone is happy about the 3-day hybrid work, and in fact, most of us did not sign up for 3 days when we joined. - Open workspaces, no cubicles: Be prepared to hear what your colleagues’ dog ate for dinner yesterday, or what plans they had with their exes during the weekends (or which dating apps they are using). - Lots of gaslighting from the Leadership Team (LT): They act as if burnout is not a real thing and as if the negative Glassdoor reviews are non-existent. They also do not value anonymous feedback; none of them have addressed the declining Glassdoor reviews when being asked publicly. When this many negative reviews exist, maybe it’s not an isolated incident with certain employees, but the company itself. - Performance review sets employees up for failure: like other reviews have mentioned, the performance review here is absurdly flawed. Everyone is subject to be rated by LT/HR that they do not work directly with, and HR has the ultimate power to influence your rating. It is incredibly demoralizing to have your ratings dragged down by individuals who have never even worked with you. Many people got rated as “lagging” with no solid reason/zero evidence of not being able to complete the job. Seems like it’s a soft launch for layoffs/mass termination.
