I have been working at Rent-A-Center full-time (More than a year)

Pros

the work is interesting, cool people, pay is decent

Cons

Management tends to be a bit of a stick in the mud, way to much politics. Oh and you need an act of god to be promoted if you work in the corporate office

I have been working at Rent-A-Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Semi annual raises, guaranteed over time every week, paid holidays off, paid vacation, employee prices on merchandise, advancement opportunities. I love what I do. I love being able to provide families with products that they may not have the credit to finance or have the money to purchase outright. Some of my customers have become almost like family to me. The income is great, getting paid every week makes it easy on you. The benefits such as the health plan, retirement are great.

    Cons

I have a small son and split days off and working 50+ hours per week gets hard at times. I wish I could spend more time with him since he is sleeping when I go to work and getting ready for bed when I get home. Its hard to make plans to do anything with split days off.

    Advice to Management

Maybe mix it up and let coworkers rotate 2 day weekends.

I have been working at Rent-A-Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is good. You get to know your co workers really well

    Cons

Hours are bad. No time for family. No time for social life. Have to squeeze all appointments into on off day (If you get it. If the numbers are bad you work your off day). Only 5 people staff so request off are next to non existent. If one guy is gone alot of work gets put onto the others. Some of the goals are unrealistic. Have to work alot of hours for the pay. Conditions are tough working in inclimate weather and many of the home have insects, bed bugs, and animal matter

    Advice to Management

Dont punish the employees for un met goals when they bust their tails all day everyday. It is very discouraging to work til 9 oclock lifting and running only to get yelled at and have to work your off day
